Power & Might (Sept. 1995 - Nov. 1996)
After the demise of Faith?, with Luc gone - literally - back to his roots, both geographical and musical, Ruan and I decided to write a newsletter instead of a full fanzine. Back in 1994-95, you have to remember that there was just a very small and active scene for traditional Heavy Metal, mainly in Greece, Germany and Japan. No one cared about old school Power Metal any more. The good thing was that you could buy Cirith Ungol LPs for a song in bargain bins. The other side of the coin was that Iron Maiden were playing small venues and everyone was raging about Sepultura, Biohazard or Korn... Heavy Metal was undeground again and we swore to do our best to fully support bands, zines and lables we were in touch with. 3 issues were all we could manage to do but, as you can see below, they were filled to the brim with text, no images, just reviews after reviews of whatever 'proper metal' Ruan and I could get our mitts on! Each issue had just the one interview, the great Australian prog band Vauxdvhil was featured in #1, Dream Child were interviewed for #2 and German Speed Metal heavyweights Rage were included in #3!
3 issues, 4 pages each, written in English.
